Pilates

     Studio Maha offers a comprehensive excercise program based on the teachings of Joseph H. Pilates and enhanced over the years by his master teachers. The basic premise is the abdomen and the mid-back are the power centers of the body. Strengthen the spine and the abdoment and the body can be safely stretched and strengthened to provide balance. One-on-one training designed to meet the needs of the individual enhance this full body, non-impact workout, which will leave you simulataneously soothed and energized.
     Studio Maha offers private classes and semi-privates in Pilates, as well as group classes for up to 6 people on Pilates equipment. The studio is complete with all 7 pieces of Pilates equipment including 6 reformer/trapeze table combination units, 1 cadillac, 6 chairs, 10 spine correctors (barrels), 1 high ladder barrel, 1 pedi pull, and 1 foot corrector. We offer Barbara Huttner's unique group Pilates mat and barrel classes. Our instructors have all been trained by Barbara Huttner and/or Rael Isacowitz.
